The Chief Executive Officer of Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), David Daser, on Thursday, 21st November 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of the National Commission For Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) at the Commission headquarters in Abuja.
The visit underscored the DBI’s commitment to collaborating with key national agencies to address critical challenges faced by refugees, migrants, and Internally displaced persons (IDPs) through strategic partnerships. Discussions during the meeting centered around leveraging technology, capacity building, and innovative solutions to enhance the Commission’s ability to deliver on its mandate effectively.
In his remarks, the DBI CEO thanked the Commissioner for welcoming the DBI to their Commission; he highlighted the institute’s readiness to support NCFRMI by deploying advanced training programs, digital solutions, and expertise to empower displaced communities and returnees from abroad.

Speaking further, he noted that the DBI has programised trainings to address the issues around Internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and migrants and on constant lookout for funders.” Daser said.
The NCFRMI, Honourable Federal Commissioner/CEO Tijani Aliyu Ahmed, expressed gratitude for DBI’s commitment and emphasized the importance of partnership in addressing the complex issues faced by displaced persons and returnees. He expressed his happiness for the timely visit of DBI; he said, “We are confident that this collaboration will yield impactful outcomes ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital age.”
Both parties agreed to set up a joint technical team to draft a comprehensive plan for implementing key initiatives discussed during the visit. This partnership is expected to drive sustainable solutions transforming the lives of millions affected by displacement in Nigeria.
Additionally, it was conveyed that discussions are underway for the formalization of the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding for both parties.
