The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo
The Chief Executive Officer of Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), David Daser, on Wednesday, 25th September 2024, met in Abuja to explore avenues for collaboration on training programs and Digital literacy initiatives.

The joint meeting was aimed at forming a partnership to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes the need for Digital Empowerment and capacity building across all sectors of the Nigerian economy.

During the meeting, Daser highlighted the importance of equipping Nigeria’s workforce with the necessary Digital skills to foster innovation and national development.
Daser noted further that through the multi-campuses access in all six geo-political zones with residential facilities (Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Asaba, Yola, and Enugu), DBI has been able to provide cutting-edge skills development and enhancement in Nigeria adding that the DBI has continued to provide capacity-building intervention in the area of ICT empowerment through the Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADEPTI) which is fully funded by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) under the leadership of the Executive Vice Chairman, (EVC) Dr. Aminu Maida.

Daser intimated that the ADEPTI intervention has trained over 120,000 staff of tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The meeting focussed on providing specialized training for personnel in the Ministry of Interior and its agencies, ensuring they are equipped with cutting edge Digital tools and knowledge to enhance the Ministry operations and service delivery.

Honourable Minister Bunmi Ojo expressed his support for the collaboration, noting that the initiative aligns with the government’s focus on enhancing digital literacy, especially within public institutions. He reiterated the ministry’s commitment to working closely with DBI to ensure the successful implementation of these training programs, which are essential for improving national security, governance, and public service efficiency.

Stressing further, He said the DBI CEO had shown an unparalleled commitment to advancing Digital literacy, and his vast experience in the ICT industry has proven vital in shaping the Digital transformation that’s driving our nation’s growth. His passion for empowering individuals and organizations with the tools to thrive in the digital age is truly commendable.”

The President/CEO was accompanied by the Institute Secretary, Ms. Tonia Ansa-Otudor, Group Head, Learning and Development Mrs Ngozi Nwoche, Akin Ogunlade, and Temidayo Olaloye of the Public Affairs Unit.
