In a bid to strengthen professional development and promote capacity building, a representative of the Nassarawa State Information Technology and Digital Agency (NASITDEA) paid a courtesy visit to the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) on October 21st, 2024.

The purpose of the visit was to explore potential collaborations on certification programs aimed at enhancing skills within the technology and innovation sector.
During the meeting, NASITDEA’s delegation, led by their DG, Mr. Haruna Sani Sani engaged with the DBI management team to discuss how both organizations can collaborate in the area of mutual interest. The primary focus was on delivering tailored certification training that aligns with current industry needs and fosters sustainable development.

Speaking at the event, the Director General of NASITDEA remarked, “Our association is committed to equipping professionals with relevant skills and we believe that partnering with DBI will allow us to achieve this goal. This collaboration will enhance the expertise of our members and ensure they remain competitive in today’s evolving digital economy”.

On the part of DBI, the Chief Executive Officer, David Daser, who received the NASITDEA delegation expressed enthusiasm about the proposed collaboration. “DBI looks forward to working with NASITDEA to develop a certification program that will benefit both organizations and the broader community. Together, we can make impactful contributions towards closing skills gaps and preparing individuals for future opportunities,” Daser said.

He informed the meeting that through the multi-campuses in all six geo-political zones with residential facilities (Abuja, Kano Lagos, Yola, Enugu, and Asaba), DBI has been able to provide cutting-edge skills development and enhancement in Nigeria.

Both parties agreed to explore specific training modules, certification frameworks, and implementation timelines in the future.

In recent times, DBI, as an establishment of the Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC, is intensifying efforts at the actualization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, which is Digital Empowerment. The 3MTT program of the Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy led by Honourable Minister, Bosun Tijani is another initiative of the present government to which DBI is making its contribution through the Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADEPTI) for staff and non-teaching staff of tertiary institutions and the program is fully funded by the NCC
