The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) seeks to undertake the implementation of the Federal Government policy direction on repositioning of youths for the digital era through a Program on Digital Literacy Training of Youths for Job Creation.
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector of the Nigerian Economy has steadily increased its contribution to GDP, an indication of the increasing significance of the sector in the nation’s economy. One of the pillars of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (2020-2030) that will further accelerate economic growth is Digital Literacy for Youths on the platform of economic diversification through increased support for the ICT sector.
This is to harness their strength and stimulate/empower them for self-employment. The Commission is therefore embarking on Digital Literacy Training initiatives for Youths across the nation.
DBI will be hosting the program, in Abuja and Kano, from August 2 – 13, 2021.
