The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) was pleased to receive the Director of the APUDI Institute for Peace Studies and Social Rehabilitation (APIS), Prof. Danladi Abok Atu, on a courtesy visit to the President/CEO of DBI, Mr. David Daser, at the institute’s headquarters.
During the visit, Prof. Atu congratulated Mr. Daser on his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the head of DBI, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of a distinguished son of Plateau State.
Prof. Atu expressed APIS’ strong interest in forging a technical partnership with DBI in the area of ICT capacity building, particularly at the postgraduate level. He emphasized the critical importance of digital technology in modern education and research, stating:
“ICT has become indispensable, and APIS, as a leading research institute, is ready to harness the vast potential of the ICT sector by equipping its students with relevant digital skills to solve modern challenges.”
Responding, Mr. David Daser appreciated Prof. Atu for the visit and lauded the forward-looking vision of APIS. He affirmed DBI’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that are aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration. He stated that DBI remains steadfast in its mission to promote digital literacy, foster innovation, and ensure inclusivity in the nation’s technological growth.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of DBI’s state-of-the-art training facilities, where Prof. Atu and his delegation were shown the institute’s resources dedicated to advanced ICT learning and digital skill development.
Prof. Atu was accompanied by Dr. Joshua Bakut, Advancement and Program Officer at APIS.
