The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Bridge Institute, David Daser, at the DBI headquarters in Abuja.
The visit was an opportunity to convey congratulations on his recent appointment while laying the groundwork for collaboration efforts between the two institutions.
During the meeting discussions centered around innovative ways to integrate digital technology into the educational curriculum to equip students with 21st-century skills.
The Vice-Chancellor praised DBI for its role in advancing digital inclusion and expressed optimism about the transformative impact of the collaboration.
Speaking further, the Vice Chancellor thanked the DBI for the Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADEPTI). He stated that UNIJOS has greatly benefited from the NCC-DBI ADEPTI program, positively impacting both academic and non-academic staff.
In his remarks, the DBI CEO emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to improve educational outcomes and reaffirmed DBI’s commitment to supporting higher institutions.
Both leaders agreed to set up a joint committee to fast-track the implementation of these initiatives.
The visit concluded with a tour of DBI’s facilities and a commitment to make digital education a cornerstone of Nigeria’s development.
