The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) has strengthened efforts to expand collaboration in digital education, information and communication technology (ICT) training, and professional capacity development through a strategic engagement with the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus.

The engagement, held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, featured discussions on areas of mutual interest and a tour of DBI’s Yola Campus facilities, with a view to exploring opportunities for technology-driven training, knowledge sharing, and institutional collaboration.

The visit followed an invitation extended by DBI Yola Campus to showcase its modern facilities and identify areas of cooperation that could foster a stronger and more sustainable partnership between the two institutions.

The delegation was led by the Deputy Director-General and Head of the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus, Dr. Salmanu Rilwan, Esq. Other members included Mr. Bello Bala, Director and Head of Administration, and Miss Abigail Kahuwal, Deputy Director of Academics.

They were received by the Head of DBI Yola Campus, Mr. Dashe D. Garba, who represented the Institute’s President/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. David Daser. He was accompanied by members of the campus management team and staff.

During the tour, the delegation inspected the campus’s ICT training laboratories, innovation hubs, digital learning facilities, auditorium, hostel accommodation, clubhouse, workshops, and canteen.

The visitors expressed satisfaction with the quality of the facilities and the conducive learning environment provided by DBI. They noted that such infrastructure could support effective training and help equip Nigerians with globally competitive digital and ICT skills.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Garba reaffirmed DBI’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that promote digital transformation, professional development, and institutional growth.

He thanked Dr. Rilwan and his delegation for honouring the invitation, describing the visit as an important step towards strengthening relations between DBI and the Nigerian Law School.

“I consider this visit and the partnership it represents an important step towards leveraging technology to enhance professional training, build digital capacity, promote knowledge sharing, and improve institutional service delivery,” Mr. Garba said.

He further emphasised the importance of collaboration between educational and professional institutions in responding to the growing demand for digital skills and technology-driven solutions.

According to him, partnerships of this nature would enable both institutions to share expertise, maximise available resources, and develop innovative approaches to training and professional development.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for both institutions to explore potential areas of collaboration, particularly in ICT training, digital learning, capacity building, and the use of DBI’s modern facilities to support the Nigerian Law School’s training programmes and other institutional activities.

The development underscores DBI Yola Campus’s continued commitment to strengthening partnerships with government institutions, educational bodies, and other key stakeholders to advance digital inclusion, promote human capacity development, and contribute to Nigeria’s digital economy and national development agenda.

The visit marks a positive step towards fostering closer institutional ties and expanding opportunities for technology-driven learning and professional development in the North-East and across Nigeria.
