In a strategic effort to advance the digital ecosystem, the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) conducted a courtesy visit to the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in Abuja. The engagement culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that establishes a framework for partnership and collaboration.

The BDIC delegation, led by Managing Director/CEO Gbande Hembaor Terwase, was warmly welcomed by DBI’s Chief Executive Officer, David Daser, and his management team. The discussions during the meeting focused on leveraging DBI’s technical expertise and training capacity to enhance digital literacy, broadband penetration, and ICT skill development across Benue State.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Terwase underscored the significance of the collaboration, stating:

“Our mission is to position Benue State as a hub for digital innovation and growth. Partnering with DBI grants us access to world-class resources and expertise that align with our vision.”

The DBI leadership expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting its alignment with national economic development goals, including the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, led by Dr. Bosun Tijani. The ministry’s flagship initiatives, such as the 3MTT program, were noted as key drivers for advancing digital inclusion and economic empowerment.

DBI CEO David Daser remarked:

“We are excited about the opportunity to work with BDIC in creating impactful solutions that empower communities and promote digital inclusion. This collaboration is a step forward in achieving a sustainable and tech-driven future.”

The visit concluded with a guided tour of DBI’s cutting-edge facilities, where the BDIC team observed ongoing ICT training programs and infrastructure. Both organizations committed to furthering discussions to finalize an actionable framework for collaboration.
