



The newly appointed Interim Chairman of the Governing Board of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Princess Oforitsenere Emiko, today presided over the inaugural meeting of the Board at the Institute’s Headquarters in Utako, Abuja, marking the beginning of a new chapter in DBI’s transformation agenda.
The President/CEO, Mr. David Daser, received the Interim Chairman, Princess Emiko, and other Board members as they commenced deliberations on the strategic direction for repositioning DBI to meet the demands of Nigeria’s rapidly evolving communications sector and digital economy.
Princess Emiko was recently appointed Interim Chairman by the Board of the (NCC) to provide strategic leadership in repositioning the Institute for the next era of Nigeria’s communications sector and digital economy.
Joining her on the Interim Board are Engr. Abraham Oshadami, Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, and Ms. Rimini Makama, Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management. Together with the President/CEO, Mr. David Daser, and other serving members, they will provide strategic leadership to drive and accelerate the Institute’s transformation.
The renewed vision for DBI is centred on advancing digital skills development, research, innovation, policy, and economic growth, while empowering Nigeria’s youthful population with globally competitive competencies needed to thrive in the digital economy.
The inaugural meeting marks another significant milestone in DBI’s journey to becoming a leading centre of excellence for digital capacity development in Nigeria and beyond.
The meeting further underscores DBI’s renewed commitment to strengthening institutional excellence, and positioning Nigeria to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven global economy.
