On behalf of the Management and Staff of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), I warmly felicitate with Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora on the occasion of our nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
As we mark this significant milestone, we are reminded that independence is not merely a historical achievement, but a continuing responsibility to build a nation anchored on democracy, justice, accountability, inclusion and shared prosperity.
Sixty-six years after independence, Nigeria’s journey has been marked by remarkable achievements, significant challenges and, above all, the resilience, creativity and enterprise of her people.
This anniversary offers us an opportunity to reflect on our progress, acknowledge the challenges that remain and renew our collective commitment to building a stronger, peaceful, united and prosperous nation.
I wish to acknowledge the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Federal Government for the development direction encapsulated in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Since assuming office, the administration has pursued reforms across key areas including economic transformation, human capital development, digitalisation, infrastructure, job creation and improved governance.
These priorities are particularly relevant to DBI’s mandate of developing the digital skills and human capacity required to position Nigerians for meaningful participation in the emerging knowledge and digital economy.
As President/CEO of DBI, I reaffirm our institutional support for the Federal Government’s development efforts and our commitment to contributing meaningfully to their realisation.
For us, this commitment goes beyond words. Every Nigerian equipped with relevant digital skills, every young person empowered with knowledge and every professional prepared for the changing world of work represents a practical contribution to national development.
At DBI, we recognise that Nigeria’s greatest asset is her people. We will continue to expand access to quality digital education and professional training, strengthen strategic partnerships, promote innovation and equip Nigerians with the competencies required to compete in an increasingly technology-driven global economy.
As we celebrate 66 years of nationhood, nation-building remains a shared responsibility. Government, institutions, the private sector, civil society and citizens all have roles to play in building the Nigeria we desire.
Our diversity must remain a source of strength, while innovation, enterprise, knowledge and technology must increasingly drive our national development.
I am confident that with unity of purpose, resilience and a shared commitment to progress, we can build a Nigeria where our young people have the skills to compete globally, technology improves lives, innovation creates opportunities and every citizen can look to the future with renewed confidence.
I salute the resilience, creativity and enterprise of the Nigerian people.
Happy 66th Independence Anniversary to our beloved country.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
