The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has paid a courtesy visit to the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) as part of its strategic efforts to enhance digital literacy and technical capacity within the petroleum marketing sector.

Led by its President, Alhaji Debo Ahmed, the IPMAN delegation engaged in discussions with DBI’s management team, emphasising the urgent need for digital transformation in the downstream oil and gas industry. The meeting explored areas of collaboration, including capacity-building programs, digital literacy training, and the adoption of emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Debo Ahmed underscored the importance of leveraging digital tools to streamline operations, enhance transparency, and improve service delivery across the petroleum marketing value chain.

During the visit, an IPMAN representative also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing young and dynamic leaders to head key organizations like DBI. He noted that such appointments reflect a strong commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and forward-thinking leadership in Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.

In response, DBI President/CEO, David Daser, welcomed the proposed partnership and reaffirmed DBI’s commitment to supporting IPMAN through tailored training programs, technical expertise, and digital empowerment initiatives. Echoing the commendation of President Tinubu’s leadership choices, Daser emphasised that these appointments align with the administration’s strategy to strengthen Nigeria’s digital economy by fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Following the visit, both organizations agreed to explore a framework for sustained collaboration that will drive innovation, technical knowledge, and digital literacy among IPMAN members.
