The Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), David Daser, on Tuesday, November 2024, visited the headquarters of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in Abuja.
The purpose of the visit was to establish a strategic partnership between the two organizations aimed at promoting transparency, capacity building, and ethical practices. During the meeting, the DBI CEO reaffirmed the institute’s dedication to leveraging digital tools and education to advance ICPC’s mandate of combating corruption. He proposed areas of collaboration, including training programs, ICT development, and public sensitization campaigns.
In this spirit of collaboration, it was indicated that DBI could facilitate the immediate commencement of specialized training programs for ICPC staff, including a pilot initiative to train some personnel at no cost. This proposal is part of DBI’s broader effort to solidify the partnership and support ICPC’s operational objectives.
Additionally, it was conveyed that discussions are underway for the formalization of the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which could see DBI becoming ICPC’s official training partner.
The ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, commended DBI’s commitment to innovative and forward-thinking initiatives and expressed optimism about the prospects of the collaboration. Both parties emphasized their shared vision of fostering a more transparent and accountable society through capacity-building and technological empowerment.
