The new President/ CEO of Digital Bridge Institute, DBI, Daser David, on Thursday, 5th September 2024, received the audience of the National Talent Export Programme (NATEP) at the institute headquarters, Utako, Abuja.

The courtesy call by the NATEP was to develop working relationships on technology talent development to position Nigeria as a global hub for talent export. In his welcome address, the President/CEO stated that the DBI has continued to provide capacity-building intervention in the area of ICT empowerment through the Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADEPTI) which is fully funded by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) under the leadership of the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO Dr. Aminu Maida.
Stressing further, David Daser stated that it’s noteworthy that ADEPTI intervention has trained over 120,000 staff of tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The partnership between the DBI and NATEP is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and the Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy led by the Honourable Minister, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

While addressing a delegation from NATEP, The PDBI emphasized soft skills for talents, and DBI is being repositioned to produce quality talents that can survive the national and international market.

“We are continuously evolving our training programs to meet the ever-growing global demand, ensuring that those we train and certify gain international recognition. Our focus is on equipping our trainees with in-demand skills that are relevant both locally and globally.”

He further emphasized DBI’s potential to become an official technology talent training partner within the framework of the NATEP Act Policy, positioning DBI as a key player in shaping the future of tech education.

The National Coordinator for the National Talent Export Programme (NATEP), Dr. Olufemi Adeluyi, was accompanied by Barrister Henry Ogbogu and Ms. Zainab Saka. The DBI Management team in attendance was led by the President/CEO, David Daser; Group Head of Corporate Services Ms. Viola Askia-Usoro; Head of IT, Mr. Nwanze Okonkwo; Head of Administration Unit; Mrs. Chinwe Alaribe, and Head, Public Affairs Unit Mr. Akin Ogunlade.
