Abuja, February 21st 2025,  The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Nigeria’s premier capacity-building institution for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Telecommunications, today welcomed members of the Delegated Legislation Committee as part of their oversight functions.

The visit provided an opportunity for the esteemed Committee members to assess the Institute’s mandate, operations, and contributions to national development through ICT training, research, and digital inclusion initiatives.

During the engagement, DBI’s management, led by the President/CEO David Daser, provided a comprehensive briefing on the institution’s activities, achievements, and challenges. Key areas of discussion included DBI’s role in bridging the digital divide, fostering innovation, and equipping Nigerians with critical ICT skills to enhance national development.

The Committee members commended DBI’s commitment to capacity building in the ICT sector and reaffirmed their support for policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening the institution’s impact. They also emphasised the importance of legislative backing in ensuring the sustainability and expansion of DBI’s programs.

Speaking on behalf of the Committee, Rt. Honorable Olufemi Bamishile expressed satisfaction with DBI’s efforts and reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to promoting digital literacy and technological advancement in Nigeria.
