The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) successfully concluded a comprehensive training program on digital skills, office productivity, and strategic ICT application for staff of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) at its Abuja campus on Friday, November 29, 2024.
The training program, tailored to equip participants with practical ICT knowledge, covered essential topics such as:
Fundamentals of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Document Management with Microsoft Word, Spreadsheet Applications and Record Management using Excel, Effective Presentations with PowerPoint, Introduction to Cloud Computing, Internet Usage, and Online Collaboration.
DBI facilitators ensured the program’s objectives were met, delivering the sessions in an interactive and relatable manner, enabling participants to apply the acquired skills effectively in their respective roles.
During the closing remarks President/CEO of DBI, Mr. Daser David, ably represented by Mr. Soji Fagbemi and Mr Chiwunba Igbokwe, congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the training. He expressed appreciation to the ICPC management for entrusting DBI to deliver this vital capacity-building initiative, emphasizing the institute’s commitment to fostering digital literacy across public and private sectors.
Participants shared their positive experiences. Mrs. Clare Brown commended DBI for the impactful training, highlighting the facilitators’ clarity and expertise. Mr. Ayuba Silas Sambo appreciated the serene learning environment and expressed gratitude for the facilitators’ ability to deliver the training with precision, which he described as a significant boost to the capacity of ICPC staff.
In his remarks, the DBI Centre Coordinator, alongside Mr. Chiwunba, reiterated the institute’s dedication to excellence and appealed to the ICPC to retain DBI as their preferred partner for ICT and human capital development.
The training underscores DBI’s mission to drive digital transformation in Nigeria by equipping professionals with the skills necessary for a technology-driven world.
