Mr. Emeka Hector Akwuaka

Mr. Emeka Hector Akwuaka is a consummate legal practitioner with twenty -two (22) years post call to bar experience in commercial banking, investment banking, private legal practice and public sector service.

His expertise cuts across a wide spectrum of legal practice including; Information Technology, Company Secretarial Services, Corporate Advisory Services, Telecommunications, Energy and Natural Resources, etc.

He was the Sectional Head, Legal & Security Documentation Department of Citizens International Bank Plc from 2001 to 2005.

He was a member of the steering committee which birthed the entity, Spring Bank Plc, where he became the Deputy Company Secretary/Deputy Legal Adviser (shared Services of the Bank in 2006).

Pioneer member of Pan African Capital Plc (an investment banking firm), and became its Group Company Secretary and General Counsel in 2008, a position he held with distinction until his resignation in 2015 to engage in private legal practice.

He obtained his LL. B degree (with honours) from the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria in 1999, B.L from the Nigeria Law School in 2000 call to Bar in 2001. Master of Laws degree (LLM) from the University of Lagos, an Executive Master of Laws degree (‘LLM) and MBA from the Metropolitan School of Business & Management (U.K), a Mastery Certificate in Justice (MCiJ) from Harvard University (U.S.A), a Mastery Certificate in Philosophy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T) (USA) and a Certificate in Constitutional Law from Yale University (USA). He has concluded his Doctorate programme in Legal Studies at Atlantic International University and is currently awaiting the official graduation ceremony to be conferred with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Legal Studies.

He is a notary public, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
of Nigeria (ICSAN), a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered), a Fellow of
the Institute of Corporate Administrators.

He is currently the Principal Counsel at Eagle Crest Attorneys & Solicitors, a notary public, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered), a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administrators of Nigeria, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K) and a Member of the International Bar Association.

His hobbies include exercising, reading and listening to music, he is happily married with children.
