Professor Ado Dan-Isa is a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Bayero University, Kano and Head of the control and soft Computing Research Group which is responsible for actively pursuing research in the applications of artificial intelligence in control and electronic biomedical devices.
He was the former Head of Electrical Engineering Department, a former dean of the Faculty of Engineering and a member of the Bayero University Governing Council for four years. He is a registered engineer (COREN), a registered computer professional (CPN), a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society.
Prof. Ado is a trustee of the Board of Nigeria ICT Forum for Partnership Institutions; an Institution he actively helped to create in 2004. He is also a director at Noveleq Nigeria Limited and a Board Member of the Technical Board for the Electronic Development Institute, Awka.
He has contributed in the areas of Engineering and ICT for decades and has mentored many. He has also attended many national and international IT Policy meetings. He was a resource person in the development of Nigeria’s ICT4D policy document.
Prof. Ado is married with children.
